Frequently Asked Questions –
The SnowCastle

How can you best get into the SnowCastle?
Instructions how to drive / travel into the SnowCastle you will find at: Driving / Travel Instructions.

Is the SnowCastle open around the year?
The SnowCastle is open every year from the end of January to the beginning of April. In the beginning of April the weather usually gets so warm, that the appearance of the SnowCastle will start to suffer – even though the constructions of the Castle would last longer, we still close the Castle at this time. Constructing the new SnowCastle always begins in December.

Is the SnowCastle open daily?
The opening hours for the SnowCastle you will find at: Opening Hours.

How much is the entrance-fee?
The entrance-ticket, good for the whole day, is: 8 Eur / adult, and children from 4 – 11 years 4 Eur.

What is there to see in the SnowCastle?
The SnowCastle itself is a spectacle – we do build it anew, and differently, every year! Inside the Castle you will see plenty of IceSculpting, which the ice-sculptors sculpt following the theme each year. In the SnowRestaurant there are three different cabinets and in the SnowHotel 21 rooms, which all are open for you to see during the opening hours of the Castle. For children – and for anyone with the playful spirit and mind of a child, we have the snow-tube where you can feel the thrill of sliding down fast, as well as other exciting activities inside the walls of the SnowCastle for kids to spend their time with. We could even consider the appearances of our SnowCastle-mascots, Arttu and Terttu, as a daily event and a spectacle in itself!

Can we bring our pets with us into the SnowCastle?
Unfortunately you cannot bring your pets with you into the SnowCastle, because we do have a restaurant here.
